Hey everyone,
I know it has been a while since I've updated the website . . . I will try to stay more "on the ball" in the future. I hope you all enjoyed your exyended weekend. A special thanks to MLK jr for being a revolutionary in his time, peacefully standing for justice and spreading his vision for a society that lines up (at least in part) with the way God wants things to be. In Jesus, there is neither male nor female, rich nor poor, slave nor master, black nor white . . . becuase before God we all find ourselves all on the the same footing - sinners who are dead meat if it weren't for God's mercy and grace (take a minute to look it up --> Galatians 3:28).
Current News for The UpRising:
We started small groups this past Sunday, and it seems that we got off to a good start. We will be meeting every Sunday night.
The permanent time is yet to be determined. Until we vote and decide, we will continue to meet from 5-7pm.
Remember to keep Looking for ways to grow in Jesus, He -and anything done for Him- is the most important, significant, and worthwhile investment we can make in this life. Let us be do-ers of God's Word and not just hearers.
Keep on the look-out for our new logo. It is in the finishing stages of its desing phase and should be released for public viewing in the near future.
Remember,
the Spring trip to Acquire the Fire (ATF) in tampa is
coming up on March 10-11, 2006. The trip should cost 
no more than $20 per person. I am ready for this
to be a life-changing experience for anyone who
attends. You don't want to miss it!
